Bio Sketch Course Director
Jean M. Panneton, MD, FACS, FRCSC
Dr. Panneton completed his medical degree and residency in general
surgery from the University of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He
completed his vascular surgery fellowship through the Mayo
Clinic and Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester,
Minnesota. He furthered his education by attending a vascular
surgery fellowship at the University of Glasgow in Glasgow,
Scotland.
In 1992, Dr. Panneton received his Certificate in General Surgery by the
Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and in
1993 became a Diplomate of the American Board of General
Surgery. In 1996 he added the Qualification in General Vascular
Surgery to his American Boards.
Academic accomplishments include current Chief and Program
Director of Vascular Surgery and Associate Professor of Surgery
at Eastern Virginia Medical School. Past academic affiliations
include Associate Professor of Surgery at the Mayo Medical
School.
Dr. Panneton currently practices at Sentara Vascular Specialists and
maintains hospital privileges at the Sentara Hospitals,
Chesapeake Regional Medical Center, and Bon Secours DePaul
Hospital.
