• Though present, the number of patients
who become symptomatic is relatively low.
• One study of 1114 patients with
innominate and subclavian disease, only
15% symptomatic.
• Generally requires multiple lesions in
innominate-subclavian-carotid-vert bral
arteries to cause hemodyamic comprimise
and ischemic symptoms. (80% in large
series).
