Christi Siler, RN
For more than a decade, Christi Siler has worked along-side some of the pioneers of venous medicine.
As a result, she has extensive experience in the field of venous disease, both diagnostically and
interventionally. Christi has also played an integral part in the training of physicians and nurses in the
areas of sclerotherapy, laser therapy, and pulsed light therapy. She currently operates the Sentara
Cosmetic and Laser Treatment Center at Port Warwick under the supervision of Dr. Scott McEnroe.
Christi received her nursing training at Sinclair College in Dayton, Ohio.
Gordon K. Stokes, MD, FACS
Dr. Stokes received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He trained in
general and vascular surgery at the Medical College of Virginia, and completed his vascular surgery
fellowship in 1994. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery in both general and
vascular surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). Dr. Stokes is an
assistant professor of clinical surgery at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA. Dr. Stokes
has a special interest in aortic, limb salvage, and vascular access surgery. He continues to be actively
involved in clinical trials for the treatment of vascular disease. Dr. Stokes is a member of Sentara
Vascular Specialists.
Christopher L. Stout, MD
Dr. Stout earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City
and Wichita, KS. He went on to complete his internship and general surgery residency at Mercer
University School of Medicine of Central Georgia in Macon. After residency, Dr. Stout completed a
vascular surgery fellowship at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA. Dr. Stout is certified
by the American Board of Surgery and is a member of the American College of Surgeons.
Richard M. Zweifler, MD
Dr. Zweifler earned his medical degree from Tulane Medical School in New Orleans, LA. Dr.
Zweifler’s post graduate training includes a cerebrovascular disease fellowship which he earned at the
University of California in San Diego, VA, where he also completed his neurology residency. Dr.
Zweifler is an elected Fellow of the American Stroke Association and serves as a member of several
other professional societies and committees including the American Academy of Neurology and the
World Stroke Organization.

Sadie Ahanchi, MD
Completed undergrad in Integrative and Molecular Physiology at the University of Illinois - Urbana
Champaign in 2000 and received her medical degree at the University of Illinois College of Medicine
in 2004. Dr. Ahanchi completed her surgical residency at the University of Illinois in Chicago at
Mount Sinai Hospital Medical Center in 2010 and is currently completing her second year of Vascular
Surgery Fellowship at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk. She is board certified by the
American Board of Surgery in General Surgery. She is the recipient of the Southern Association for
Vascular Surgery 2011 Founder's Award.
Tunde Almaroof, MD
Completed medical studies at the University of Lagos, Nigeria in 2000. He completed his Surgical
Internship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, followed by Surgical Residency at the
University of Toledo College of Medicine in Ohio in 2010. Dr. Almaroof is currently completing his
second year Vascular Surgery Fellowship at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk. He is board
certified by the American Board of Surgery in General Surgery.
